Daybreaker Dance Video Shout-out

It was 6 a.m. reveille for local Daybreakers as the break-of-dawn dance party returned to Venice for a third round.

Previously held at Wurstkuche, the exotic sausage and Belgian beer hangout on Lincoln, the event switched venues and took over a much larger locale at the former Boardriders space on Venice Blvd. Smart move considering tickets sold out in a snap last month when it was hosted at Santa Monica's V Lounge. Daybreaker has quickly gained momentum since making it's LA debut here in Venice last September. What started as an alternative to the typical club scene in Brooklyn, Daybreaker has grown into a global movement with wake-up parties everywhere from here to Tokyo.

DJ jams, a brass horns band, and caffeinated stimulants got everyone bright eyed. The jellyfish must have slept in because we didn't see them this time around, but there was some really cool color play with these giant stained-glass triangles filtering in the first sunbeams of the day.
