In our city of neighborhoods where you can find the best of just about any authentic cuisine, why is it nearly impossible for so many to enjoy a decent beef brisket? It doesn't make any good sense. Maybe it's because some of L.A.'s most delicious smoked ribs and pork links are hidden in a neighborhood that's possibly better known for gluten-free pasta and gourmet cold-pressed-juice bars, not that there's anything wrong with that. We love some gourmet juice. But we also love barbecued meats and all the fixin's that come along with them, like the legendary mac 'n' cheese at Baby Blues BBQ, chorizo-and-cheese covered slop tots at Pork Belly's and the homemade baklava cheesecake from Morfia's Ribs & Pies -- all of which can be found right here in and around Venice.
