Hustle & Flow: Top Yoga Experiences In Venice
Venice, the yoga mecca of the USA, is home to yogi superstars, better known as yogalebrities. Shiva Rea, Seane Corn, Hala Khouri, Annie Carpenter, Eric Shiffman and Bryan Kest are only the beginning of the list of whom we walk amongst here in sunny SoCal. The open-minded community ready to try anything (Yoga and ice cream cleanse anyone?) opens its arms each year to locals and travelers from all over the world for teacher trainings, yoga workshops, gourmet juiceries and mystical crystal bookstores. And what is best, Venetians will pack a class out at 11 a.m. on a Wednesday. Really, does anyone work in this city? We hustle, we flow, and we offer an experience for every type of yogi in the universe. Namaste.
The Yoga Collective
Whether you are looking to feel the flow to the likes of 2Pac or Sylvan Esso, Yoga Collective has you covered with a tribe of teachers bringing their unique style to the yoga classes. Buddhas smize – smile with their eyes – at you from the wall art, and for post-class pick-me-ups, there's Café Gratitude next door for vegan greens or Oscars across the street for a glass of vino. Our favorites are heart-opening-meets-hip-hop flow with Mary Beth LaRue, late-night vibrations with shiny soul, Rachelle Tratt and restorative love with Lauren Eckstrom.

Exhale: Center for Sacred Movement
A true mecca for yoga teachers, Exhale: Center for Sacred Movement's recent renovation welcomes you with sweet innocence and a schedule of the teachers' teachers. A favorite and long-time offering is the dance-inspired experience with Micheline Berry, and we also love the SmartFLOW, super knowledge and fun edge that Tiffany Russo brings to the yoga room. Exhale is located in the Venice Renaissance Building, best known for the iconic Ballerina Clown. It also happens to be located next to one of the best coffee spots in town.

Studio Surya Yoga
Right off Windward Circle and across from Jules Muck's famous green mural street art, Studio Surya creates a community-centric vibe in a glowing space with light wood floors, white curtains, sunshine and gongs. The cozy yoga room feels like an oasis in the midst of the bustling Venice Boardwalk and nearby bar scene. Here you can zen out with Rachel Grant Jackson who focuses on alignment with a flare of East Coast edge or with studio owner, Yonnus Becker, loved for her soft tone and strong flow.

YAS Fitness Center: Yoga and Spinning
At this fitness hot spot, you can spin to zen. Literally. A stronghold in Venice since 2001, you will see an open garage door with spin bikes and an adjoining yoga room declaring ‘No Chanting. No Granola. No OM Zone. No Sanskrit’. Kimberly Fowler, founder and owner of YAS, created Yoga for Athletes*, a yoga class geared specifically to support athletic endeavors. We love Julie Simon for her fun attitude and inviting demeanor via yoga mat or spin bike.

RA MA Institute For Applied Yogic Science And Technology
Offering Kundalini and meditation, RA MA founder and teacher, Guru Jagat took on the new frontier of an evolving stretch of Lincoln Blvd. and created a space to awaken the kundalini energy in the practice known for its yoga of awareness. The absolute opposite of YAS, this place is all chanting, all breathe, all OM all the time. Get ready to sing your heart out and breathe your body alive. Favorites are obviously the Guru herself, and Tej Khalsa will leave you in another state of mind. BONUS: Delicious vegan coconut-cream-based ice cream is waiting next door at Kippys, who RAMA partners with for an ice cream and yoga cleanse.

Hustle & Flow
Graffiti on the studio walls and a dynamic schedule of yoga classes named "Calm the Flow Down" and "AssKicker," the edgy vibe of Hustle & Flow creates a fun environment for Venetian sweat seekers. Created by a YAS alumni, Nicole Sciacca brings a similar hybrid class of cycle and yoga on the south side of Abbot Kinney next to French Market Cafe. We love rocking the cycle + spin with Sciacca, and Mary Wiggins is sure to bring it, too.
