[VIDEO] Very Merry In Venice, California

We were thrilled when Airbnb reached out to us for some perspective on how locals celebrate the holidays here in Venice, CA and quickly started to compile our wintry traditions of sledding sand berms on the beach and festooning gondolas at the Venice Canals Holiday Boat Parade. We may not have a town Christmas tree, but we do have Treeman. And our Venice Holiday Sign was flipped to red and green by Pink!

As luck would have it, local filmmaker Andrea Shawcross, a recent transplant from Canada, popped into the Lincoln & Rose Pop-Up one evening. We started to chat about her first holiday season in Venice and decided it would be fun to work together on this. Check out her video below, and take a look at our post for Airbnb about Venice Holiday Traditions.

"Hailing from Canada, this is my first Christmas in Venice, and wow, what a culture shock. It's in my Canadian blood to want to bundle up when heading outside in December. But in Venice, you can wear shorts, skateboard barefoot, and eat ice cream all the way til the New Year rings in! Here's a first-hand glimpse, from my trusty bicycle, of Venice getting very merry over the holidays."
