Wallflower Venice, a relative newcomer to the Rose Ave. dining scene, and one of the best spots in town for a modern twist on Southeast Asian flavors (and cocktails), recently added brunch to its repertoire. The menu moves from American staples like egg sandwiches and biscuits with jam to savory dishes including Chinese barbecue pork belly and chicken satay.

There's also a rotating selection of artwork on display in the rustic-modern dining room interiors designed by Dustin Miles (Venice Beach Wines). And starting Sunday, July 31, Tim Roller's work will be on display, mixed-media pieces that utilize a variety of materials, from wood and glass tile, to crystals and rope. The show is presented by Tessellate, which creates multi-sensory experiences of music and art. To commence Roller's month-long residency, Wallflower Venice is hosting a special brunch with what they've described as dreamy daytime musical vibes from Ken Satellite. 

Sip and sample among Main Street's best restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops and juiceries this Sunday at Mainopoly, an interactive tasting tour spanning Pier Ave. to Bay St. that mirrors the classic board game and raises funds for Heal the Bay and the annual Summer SOULstice.

Attendees will receive food tastings in exchange for "Mainopoly" dollars, which will include items such as fresh fish ceviche from Enterprise Fish Co., gelato samples from Dolcenero Gelato, tuna tartare from Areal Restaurant, cold pressed juice samples from Pressed Juicery and more. Select restaurants will also be offering drink specials, including $4 draft beers, $5 cocktails and $5 shots for those with the official event wristband. 

Other activities include beer gardens and the "Go to Jail" VIP lounge and Beer Garden sponsored by Shock Top with a DJ, photo booth, drinks, food, picnic tables, games and more. All participants are encouraged to dress in "Monopoly"-inspired or patriotic attire and to hit all of the locations on their game board to be entered to win a "Taste of Main Street" prize package.
