Venice Art Crawl with the Venice Whaler present: 

SHADOW FACES is an art show featuring photography by Hassan Said. The portraits first premiered at an exhibition at the De Young Museum in San Francisco, and now for the first time, will be showcased in Los Angeles here in Venice where the photographer resides. 

Hassan Said is a trilingual award winning filmmaker/photographer with various art exhibitions that include De Young Museum, Berkley University, San Francisco State University, among others.

As the Venice Art Crawl celebrates its 5th anniversary, a fundraising event will be held at the Venice Canals featuring an art auction, dinner and cocktails, and live entertainment. Guests are encouraged to arrive dressed in their wildest, unique, thought-provoking costumes. 

The event will acknowledge the founders of the Venice Art Crawl, restaurateur Daniel Samakow, Venice Paparazzi's Edizen Stowell and Venice Neighborhood Council president Mike Newhouse with a presentation by Councilman Mike Bonin.

Guests can bid on works from local artists including photography from Julian Lennin and a pair of 18k Todd Reed earrings.  

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased here.

Join the Venice Art Crawl for its monthly mixer on Thursday, July 16 at The Sidewalk Cafe.

This is a great way for local artists, gallery owners and art enthusiasts to connect and plan future events, including the fall quarterly crawl scheduled for Thursday, September 17.

Come out to Danny's to network and plan the next Venice Art Crawl on December 18. It's a great way to meet gallery owners, artists, and musicians in the Venice art scene.

The quarterly Art Crawl returns Thursday with 40 stops on the official VAC map, including dinner and happy hour specials mixed in among the art shows, and a block party on Rose Ave with live painting, music, art cars, and glow-in-the-dark performance art.

Start crawling at 6 p.m. Block party at 7 p.m. See you out there.
