Bring the kids for Halloween pre-gaming at the Kids' Canalloween party at Linnie Park. Hosted by the Venice Canals Association, the annual event will have games, face painting, and of course, treats to start their stash before heading out to trick-or-treat.
Free family-friendly fun for all ages. By day, a harvest celebration with a hay maze, games, rides and craft. And at night, zombies and haunted pirate ship.

Watch a free outdoor movie at the Santa Monica Pier with family and friends. Front Porch Cinema returns October 3 and runs every Friday through the 24th, starting with Disney's Frozen.
Bring your own low chairs and beach blankets, or rent one of the old-timey lawn chairs available for the event. Food and drinks are also available for purchase. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with DJ jams as you grab snacks and scout spots, and the movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

This Sunday, take the kids out for FREE activities and outdoor movie night at Oakwood Park. There will be shield karate, super soccer stars, face painting and more. Food trucks will also be lined up for dinner, and they'll be playing the Lego Movie outside at about 8:00 p.m. when the sun sets.

Bring the kids for story time at TOMS' Milk + Bookies. For every child who attends, they'll donate a book to a local organization benefitting families in need. Kids 3 and up.
