Movie nights on the Santa Monica Pier continue this Friday with a showing of "Labyrinth: 30th Anniversary" starring Goblin King David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. 

A film series for all ages, Front Porch Cinema is free to attend and vendors will be on hand with an assortment of snacks and drinks available for purchase. Old-timey lawn chairs are also available to rent, or you can bring your own.

Free outdoor movie nights on the Santa Monica Pier return October 9 and run every Friday through October 30. Bring your own low fold-up chairs, or rent them at the event. You can also pack a picnic or grab a bite from the snack stands. Music kicks off the event at 6:00 p.m. and the movies start at 7:30 p.m. Here's the lineup:

Summer is here and family movie nights have returned to Oakwood Park. Big Hero 6 is up next on Saturday, July 18th.

Bring blankets and low chairs and find a good spot on the grassy field. The movie shows at 8:30 p.m., but the fun really starts around 6 p.m. with group activities for kids hosted by Super Soccer Stars. You can also grab dinner (or dessert) at the Wafl Truck. Check out the menu for sweet and savory waffle sandwiches and waffle burgers.

Movies are free, and the event is organized by the Oakwood Recreation Center to bring neighbors together in a family-friendly environment. 

Eat|See|Hear brings outdoor movie nights to Santa Monica. The series kicks off this Saturday, May 9th at the Santa Monica HS Memorial Greek Amphitheater with Pitch Perfect along with food trucks and live music. Dogs are welcome too and will be greeted at the door with biscuits.
