Holiday Parties Galore At Tonight's Venice Art Crawl

And just like that, here we are again at the final Venice Art Crawl of the year. No, we can't figure out where the past 12 months have gone either, but if you'd like our personal recommendation, we find that a leisurely walk in the neighborhood, maybe with a hot toddy in hand, does wonders to help slow down the time.

Each quarterly Art Crawl has a special vibe, but there's always something magical about this one—art shows and holiday parties become one, and shopping for last-minute gifts always leads to fun encounters with the artists who make them.

Several shops will be hosting these sorts of events with local artists, designers and photographers to meet in person, including Venice muralist Jules Muck. She will be showing her latest works from 6 to 9 p.m. at Will Leather Goods on Abbot Kinney, and if you purchase a leather bag or wallet, she'll even "Muck it up" for you with a custom paint job.

This time of year it's all about the lights, and there are several interactive installations and events to check out at tonight's Crawl including the Venice Electric Light Parade. It's back for another illuminating ride down the Boardwalk. If you'd like to join the fun or just see what it's all about, they'll be meeting at Hinano's at dusk.
