Venice Is In The Running For USA Today's 'Best Urban Beach'

In anticipation of summer, USA Today's 10Best has asked its readers to help determine the best beaches in North America. Travel experts narrowed down 20 beaches among five categories—Best East Coast Beach, Best West Coast Beach, Best Urban Beach, Best Freshwater Beach, Best National Park Beach and Best Mexico Beach—now, voters get to decide the top 10.
Venice Beach is currently a frontrunner for Best Urban Beach, where you can "swim and sun with all cultural and culinary perks of a big city close at hand." It's ranked third behind Rockaway in New York and Isla Verde in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Cast your vote here for Venice. You can vote once a day until the winners are announced March 18.
