Wander Way Over Yonder To This Alt-Country Fest

Hey there, October. It may be 75 and sunny in L.A. this weekend, but you can get out and experience the autumnal shift with seasonal treats such as apple pie, pumpkin ale and tickets to see a stellar lineup of folk and alt-country artists at the very first Way Over Yonder Fest happening Saturday and Sunday at the Santa Monica Pier.

Visit Lincoln & Rose on Facebook for weekend pass giveaways this week!

The inaugural Way Over Yonder Fest is the west coast extension of the annual Newport Folk Festival, which has been going on since 1959 in Newport, Rhode Island, and if you know anything about something, you know that this is a way big deal for singer/songwriter fans and musicians.

Here's a look back when Dylan went electric and "commercial" at the Folk Festival in 1965.

The tradition carries on with today's top alt-country stars including Conor Oberst, Neko Case and the must-see Calexico coming together for two full days of live music at the pier. Bring the one you want, so bad.
