Where To Celebrate St. Paddy's Day Around Venice
Happy St. Patrick's Day, O'Venice! However you celebrate the holiday—and even if you don't—there's something for everyone tonight. From bar hopping to art crawling, here's a look at some of the evening's adventures.
"Green" Venice Art Crawl
30+ events rolled up into one! The first Venice Art Crawl of the year is happening tonight from about 6 to 10 p.m. From live mural painting on Speedway to a group art show with all-you-can-eat candy and green cider, here's a preview of who's doing what and where.
Venice Art Crawl, St Paddy's Day
Live Music @ Clutch Venice
Live music is kind of becoming a thing over here at Clutch. Taco Tuesday is live music night, and for St. Patrick's Day they have Alex Troup performing blues rock from 3 to 6 p.m. No corned beef here but you will find shepherd's pie empanadas, green margs and deals on Guinness.
Clutch // 427 Lincoln Blvd. Venice 90291
Clover Power @ Venice Ale House
The beachfront pub and its adjacent event space The Rose Room are throwing a St. Patrick's Day party with DJs, glow sticks, and plenty o' beer and food specials. Come dressed in green and ready to dance. Single tickets are $10, or opt for the "Five Leaf Clover" group discount rate of five tickets for $25.
Venice Ale House // 2 Rose Ave. Venice 90291; 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Get tickets here.
Santa Monica St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl
Hit the Irish pubs up and down Main Street at the Santa Monica St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl. Drink specials include $3 beers, $4 well drinks and $5 shots from 2 p.m. until 2 a.m. You'll have Friday to recuperate and then you can do it all again on Saturday. Single-day tickets are $20; two-day tickets are $35, and there are group discount rates available too.

Art + Party @ Bank of Venice
Equal parts St. Patrick's Day festivities and Venice Art Crawl, the Bank of Venice will be featuring local artists Flewnt, Venice_Life600, and Justin Melillo, with live painting and art for sale, as well as food and drink specials, DJs, raffle and an art crawl after party starting at 10 p.m.
Bank of Venice // 80 Windward Ave. Venice 90291
Venice Whaler St. Paddy's Day Specials
Irish-themed cocktails for $8 and you can make any house beer green. Chef Nick is also serving up shepherd's pie on the menu today.
Venice Whaler // 10 Washington Blvd. Venice 90291
Whiskey Cocktails @ James' Beach
At James' Beach you can get two rye cocktails for $8, a shot and a beer for $12, and a couple of corned beef and cabbage sliders with stewed potatoes on the side for $20. DJ from 9 p.m. to midnight.
James Beach // 60 N Venice Blvd. 90291
Roosterfish St. Paddy's Day Party
Get here while there's still time. After 36 years on Abbot Kinney, Roosterfish will close its doors this May, so stop in for some St. Paddy's Day shenanigans and see where the night takes you.
Roosterfish // 1302 Abbot Kinney Blvd. Venice 90291
St. Catty's Day Feline Fest @ Fringe
Not all parties at the Venice Art Crawl will be St. Patrick's Day-themed, but this one will be, and cat-themed too. It's the St. Catty's Day Feline Fest at Fringe Salon on Abbot Kinney, and perhaps the only chance you'll get to wear shamrock sunnies and rhinestone cat ears. They'll have cat art, cat merch, and cats. They're up for adoption, and Venice-based non-purrofit The Cat Club is putting on the party.
Fringe Salon // 1605 Abbot Kinney Blvd. Venice 90291
Live Music + Irish Eats @ Brennan's Pub
Get the day started early at Brennan's with corned beef sandwiches and Irish coffee at 10:30 a.m. Dueling pianos start at 1 p.m. and the afternoon continues with bands on two stages.
Brennan's Pub // 4089 Lincoln Blvd. Venice 90291
The Brig
The go-to for reliably strong drinks and a good party vibe no matter the occasion, but given its wide selection of whiskey, it's also a nice pick for St. Paddy's Day.
