True story: This double lot of early-1900s coastal cottages on Abbot Kinney came to be when two handy sisters, who spent their free time renovating the cottage and their careers as PhD cancer researchers at UCLA, deeded their home to next-door neighbor Marian Crostic, a local photographer who has been living here with her husband since the '60s.
