The Good Deed: A Story of Friendship and Prime Real Estate

True story: This double lot of early-1900s coastal cottages on Abbot Kinney came to be when two handy sisters, who spent their free time renovating the cottage and their careers as PhD cancer researchers at UCLA, deeded their home to next-door neighbor Marian Crostic, a local photographer who has been living here with her husband since the '60s. The homes were featured at this year's Venice Garden & Home Tour as #14 "Abbot Kinney - Vintage. Landscape design by Jay Griffith."

This well-known story of two sisters and their generous deed has been told many times throughout the years, but if you've yet to hear the incredible details, Marian tells us here as Home Tour guests meander through her backyard garden and picnic area.
